Gods or monsters?

(Let me channel my now decidedly mute synchro-mystic avatar and fellow "poet of awareness" the Wrong Way Wizard for a moment)

Here's what my main man All-is-star Crow-lie has to say about the Book of Revelation:

"All I get is that the Apocalypse was the recension of a dozen or so totally disconnected allegories, that were pieced together, and ruthlessly planed down to make them into a connected account; and that recension was re-written and edited in the interests of Christianity, because people were complaining that Christianity could show no true spiritual knowledge, or any food for the best minds: nothing but miracles, which only deceived the most ignorant, and Theology, which only suited pedants.

So a man got hold of this recension, and turned it Christian, and imitated the style of John. And this explains why the end of the world does not happen every few years, as advertised."

Was All-is-star right? If the oversimplistic "good versus evil" Christian context is removed, then the symbols found within the Revelations are up for personal interpretation. Crow-lie believed the Beast (himself being its latest incarnation) and the Scarlet Woman (Babylon, Babalond, Babalon, Babalone, however you wanna "spell" it) to be very positive figures, the "earthly emissaries of the Great Gods", whose duties were to help manifest the energies of the current Aeon of Horus.

If this is so, then perhaps the ongoing end of the world is not such a bad thing, perhaps it is even necessary, like a vast forest fire, an all-important part of the perpetual cycle of creation-destruction-recreation that weaves the fabric of our reality. The Norsemen knew this, for this reason they looked forward to Ragnarok, the Twilight of the Gods, the time when everyone and everything that ever existed would be consumed by fire and magick then covered in ice, only to be born anew.

On a meta-logically related thought, could the ever-growing, ever-brighter Comet Holmes be the new Star of Bethlehem? Shall a new king be "born" into this world by the end of the month, around the 23rd or 24th perhaps? Only time (Saturn) will tell...

Do you have new info about Comet Holmes?

Not really, except that it is still growing, and has apparently entered a stable orbit around the Sun, between Mars and Jupiter, probably meaning that its here to stay. I finally saw it with my own eyes only three days ago. It truly seems to be a new planet in formation, except that it is literally materializing out of nothing.

Around the 23rd-24th of December, there will be a very rare planetary alignment in our solar system, all of the planets (except Saturn and Uranus) will form some sort of cross, with the sun in its center.

Even more significant, is that Venus will be seen on that date with 13 stars above its "head" and the full moon beneath its "feet", just like the tarot card. And need I mention that it will make exactly 3.5 years since Venus began its solar transit period?

Revelations 12, a woman being clothed by the Sun, hiding for 3.5 years, bringing forth a "man-child", the Beast.

Hi JB, that's a fantastic image at the top - who's the artist? My personal take on the Revelation is that it's a self-fulfilling prophecy - it exists, therefore it will manifest, because that's the kind of creatures we are - the manifesters of dreams.

Why is this "man-child" considered to be the beast?

Hi Michael,

I don't know who the artist is, I get most of my pics from Google image search. This is the first one that came up for the word "beast".

No one knows for certain who the "Man-child" is supposed to be, except that he is the one who will "rule over all the nations of the Earth with an iron sceptre", and then the next chapter talks about the reign of the Beast, so it seems kinda obvious to me.

The Clone wars in star Wars take place on a ringed planet exactly like Saturn....
The dark side in the form of Count Duckula christopher reeve fights a CGI yoda in a war of attrition where yoda has to choose between defeating his enemy or saving the SAVIOR darth Skywalker the bringer of balance to the force. He chooses to save the savior and allows duckula to escape..to fight another day...

in the next film all the JEDI are killed and with them the use of Magick..

The dark side is the only side left standing with two masters of the force remaining...that is until the savior is saved again by his son Luke warm and his sister who he spends most of the three films wanting to get down and boogie with...

nice thought invoking post....
